I was already nervous that we are borrowing money from a Communist Country, but now we have even more to speculate about... now, with their lack of military transparency.
"WASHINGTON (Reuters) - China's failure to be transparent about its rapidly growing military capabilities has created uncertainty and risks of miscalculation, the Pentagon said in an annual report released on Wednesday..."

Do you think the Democrats idol, JFK, would've borrowed money from China in our current situation?
*"The Pentagon analysis said China is developing weapons that would disable its enemies' space technology such as satellites, and boosting its electromagnetic warfare and cyber-warfare capabilities."
uh oh.

There was an increadible talk given by Ezra Taft Benson about debt. In the talk he expresses his fear that America will fall into the hands of another country not by guns, fighting, or war but through the ensnaring grasp of debt.
It is amazing to hear his words, uttered 30 years ago and then look at where we stand.
PS. I think the talk is called "Pay Thy Debt, and Live" but I will look it up to be sure.
I apologize that I cannot find the exact source of that quote...ETBenson talked A LOT about this stuff.
Here is another great talk by him entitiled "America at a Crossroads" http://www.lds.org/ldsorg/v/index.jsp?vgnextoid=024644f8f206c010VgnVCM1000004d82620aRCRD&locale=0&sourceId=dbc0b8c96c89b010VgnVCM1000004d82620a____&hideNav=1
the interesting thing to see will be if they make advances with their navy. The ocean provides all sorts of necessary things for a nation, especially one like ours: we need clear shipping lanes so goods can be imported and exported; we use our Navy to project force around the world.
could trade policies set off a shipping war, of sorts, which escalates into a naval arms race between the US and China?
