The problem with those excited about all of these Obama "plans" is that they just think any "plan" will be great. They're not stopping to open their eyes that just because it's some kind of "plan"... doesn't mean it will actually be any good.

Burden of Debt Weighed on Family in Murder-Suicide - by Kylie

You’ve probably heard of the man who killed himself and his entire family in California Tuesday morning. The only question I have for this guy is; “Really? You couldn’t think of anything better to do in this situation than killing your wife and 5 kids?” Come on! If you read the Times article, found here (http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/29/us/29family.html?_r=1&ref=us), you’ll find that this family had taken out three mortgages and filed for bankruptcy once already. They also recently remodeled their home.

I can understand that some people are having a rough time right now. We all live in daily fear of unemployment. It’s a scary place, out there in today’s market. But to kill your innocent children? I can’t believe this guy.

Get a clue people. It’s time to start living like we’re in an economic crisis. You can live without a huge house, without fancy toys, without a big screen TV, without a two-car garage, even without two cars if necessary. I know it seems difficult, but is living without these things really worse than not living at all? Possibly, instead of using our tax dollars to fund vacations for AIG employees, we should invest in some budgeting/personal finance classes for the citizens of America.

Daschle steps down

I honestly respect him for stepping down.

I heard some people talking in the elevator. "Poor Prez, he's had a lot of bumps along this Presidential road already, but everybody has dirt".

Do they? Most people I know, pay their taxes.

I do have to say I feel sorry for these guys, I mean they're being poked and prodded in every which way. However, if you're going to be in a prominent position... you better have your dirt cleaned up beforehand.

Dear Senator Reid,

Please represent the people appropriately by NOT SIGNING THIS STIMULUS PLAN.

Please consider a plan that will actually provide assistance to your constituency and not just pork for your fellow politician/lobbyist pals.
