“Americans, often acting through voluntary organizations, should have the opportunity to solve many of the social problems of their communities. This spirit of freely helping others is uniquely American and should be encouraged in every way by government.” - Ronald Reagan

Obama has harsher language against Americans...

...than our enemies.
(isn't it weird that I flinched when I wrote enemies, because I was thinking to be PC I probably shouldn't use the word enemy... sad I've been tainted)

I'm frustrated with those who are too busy with politics insteadof STANDING UP FOR the United States with international affairs.

The United States is a strong nation. We are not dictators, but also do not negotiate with terrorists... REMEMBER!??!!? There is a balance to be had with peace. I heard today "Peace does not mean, no conflict". THere will always be conflict with leaders such as Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. I mean get real, he doesn't believe in the Holocaust and is doing everything in his power to build nuclear weapons.

Do we seriously see Rush Limbaugh as more of threat than Ahmadinejad?

Stop getting on the back of Rush, Hannity, Cheney and the past.
Get going on figuring out the nation.
Take responsibility.

A TIMID advocate of Freedom

I'm fascinated by Mitt Romney.

This article really struck my fancy because I have been thinking a lot about those who voted for Obama in hopes of change with our international relations. He campaigned as a charismatic, well-spoken leader in hopes of peace... this was hopeful for all of us. However, charisma does not solve our problems considering Cuba, Korea and more. We need more than charimsa in the international scope.

I like what Mitt has to say here. He says it so well, and so nonabrasive. Check it out here.

"Vice President Biden was right that the new president would be tested early in his administration. What the world learned was not good news for freedom and democracy. The leader of the free world has been a timid advocate of freedom at best. And bold action to blunt the advances of tyrants has been wholly lacking. We are still very early in the Obama years — the president will have ample opportunity to defend America and freedom, and to deter nuclear brinkmanship. I am hoping for change." - Mitt Romney

Tea Party Time

This NOT Anti-Obama... it's ANTI-Establishment... it's ANTI-big spending...

IT's.. we're FINALLY standing up for what we want because our Republican leaders aren't doing much about it. I'm proud of my fellow Americans! I WISH I WAS TEA PARTYING WITH THEM!!!

As the Wall Street Journal says...

"So who's behind the Tax Day tea parties? Ordinary folks who are using the power of the Internet to organize...

Of course, it won't be the same everywhere. There are no national rules, and organizers of each protest are doing things the way they want. And that's the good news and the bad news for Democrats. It's not a big Republican effort. It's a big popular effort. But a mass movement of ordinary people who don't feel that their voices are being heard doesn't bode well for the party that positioned itself as the organ of hope and change."

53% say Capitalism is better than Socialism

Thanks to a fellow Thinker, I received this...
It's a report saying that only 53% say Capitalism is better than Socialism.

What has HAPPENED to our country? Where are the roots?....

I can't believe it isn't 80%...

Vermont... 4 down.... and not in a good way

Vermont's Law-makers have legalized gay rights...

3 down...

Iowa joined the masses and is supporting gay rights.

See here on bbc.com: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/7981893.stm

The case stemmed from a 2005 suit, but it's the defining of marriage as solely between a man and a woman, that they found violated couple's constitutional rights.

More Options are ALWAYS nice...

I can breathe again. Another budget is being offered in Washington...
Here are their budget goals listed in the "Path to American Prosperity" - The House Republican Budget Alternative
(yes it's 65 pgs - and yes skimming and searching is always an option)
To Restore Growth, Jobs, and Economic Leadership. It supports a vibrant free-market sector by limiting the size and scope of government; it provides for low taxes and a competitive tax code; and it promotes a robust, diverse energy network that is under Americans’ control.
To Control the Nation’s Debts. It halts the borrow-and-spend philosophy that brought about today’s economic problems, and puts a stop to heaping ever-growing debts on future generations – and does so by controlling spending and not raising taxes.

Points I especially like:
Deficits. The budget achieves lower deficits than the Obama/Democratic budget in every year, and by 2019 yields half the deficit proposed in the President’s budget.

Taxes. The budget does not raise taxes. It also reduces the corporate tax to 25 percent from the current 35 percent, second-highest in the industrialized world. Finally, the budget holds the average tax burden to the historical average of about 18.3 percent of gross domestic product.

What do you thinK?
